Support For Professionals

Information for Professionals

At Glasgow South Carers Centre, we provide unpaid carers with information, advice and practical support tailored to their individual needs. We work closely with health and social care professionals, community organisations and local services to ensure carers are recognised, supported and connected with the right help at the right time.

We are committed to building stronger partnerships across Glasgow and offer free Carer Aware information sessions to help organisations better understand carers’ rights and the support available. Help us make Glasgow Carer Aware by arranging a free information session for your organisation, team or department.

glasgow south carers centre

The Glasgow South Carers Centre, delivered by The Dixon Community, is the commissioned provider for supporting unpaid carers across the South of Glasgow. We form part of the Glasgow City Carers Partnership, working collaboratively with local carer centres, condition-specific organisations, health and social care professionals to deliver coordinated support for unpaid carers.

Unpaid carers provide essential support to family, friends or neighbours affected by illness, disability, mental health or addiction, without financial reward. Recognising the vital role they play, our service ensures carers are identified, supported, and empowered to sustain their own health and wellbeing alongside their caring responsibilities.
