Training & Peer Support

Training & Peer Support

At Glasgow South Carers Centre, we offer a range of free training opportunities and peer support groups designed to help carers feel informed, confident and supported in their caring role. From practical training sessions covering important topics to opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences, our services are here to make caring a little easier.

Whether you’re looking to develop new skills, access helpful advice or simply take some time to connect with other carers, we provide a welcoming and supportive environment where you can learn, share experiences and feel understood.

Training

We offer carers a wide range of free training opportunities to support you in your caring role. From Dementia and Autism to Mental Health & Wellbeing, there’s something to suit everyone.

We work with national charities, local organisations and specialist providers to bring you useful information, practical skills and support. Training is available online or face-to-face, with accessible options wherever possible.

Our training calendar is regularly updated, so keep an eye on our Events page for upcoming sessions!

Peer Support

We host five peer support groups every month across Glasgow City South, giving you the opportunity to meet other carers, share experiences, and get support with your caring role.

Our groups are friendly, relaxed, and non-judgemental spaces where you can chat with other carers, ask questions and share what’s on your mind. We also regularly invite guest speakers to talk about topics that may be helpful to carers.

Come along, meet other carers and find a space where you can feel supported and understood.
