Transitions can be challenging for autistic children and young people, whether moving between activities, changing schools, or preparing for adulthood. This informative online training explores why transitions can be difficult and provides practical strategies to help make periods of change smoother and more successful.
The session covers understanding autistic thinking and attention styles, supporting transitions at home and in education, building independence, managing expectations, preparing for adulthood, and signposting to further education and support services.
Who should attend?
Parents, carers, family members, and anyone supporting autistic young people through times of change.
