Support For Carers
No matter who you care for, support is available
At Glasgow South Carers Centre, we offer a range of support to help unpaid carers feel informed, supported and less alone.
Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to, need advice about your rights and benefits, or would like help accessing local services, our carers support workers are here to help.
We can provide one-to-one support, information and advice, emotional support, opportunities to meet other carers, and help with accessing activities, training, funding and wellbeing opportunities.
Supporting your caregiving journey
At Glasgow South Carers Centre, we help unpaid carers understand their rights and access the support they need. Under the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016, carers have rights to information, advice and support to help them maintain their wellbeing while managing their caring responsibilities.
An Adult Carer Support Plan (ACSP) gives you the opportunity to discuss your caring role, identify any challenges and explore the support available to you. Our team will work with you to create a plan based on your individual needs, helping you access the right services early and avoid feeling overwhelmed. We understand that every caring situation is different, which is why our support is always centred around you.
