Supporting someone else often means speaking up on their behalf—but your own voice matters too. This interactive session will help carers build the confidence and skills to advocate effectively for themselves and the person they care for.

We’ll explore what self-advocacy means, understand your rights, and share practical strategies for communicating with health and social care professionals, preparing for important conversations, and ensuring your views are heard. The session also highlights the importance of looking after your own wellbeing while caring for others.

Who should attend?
Unpaid carers looking to strengthen their confidence, communication skills, and understanding of self-advocacy.
