Glasgow South Carers Centre is hosting a First Aid Training session, delivered by the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS). This practical course is designed for carers and parents who want the confidence and skills to respond effectively when someone is injured or suddenly becomes unwell.
What you will learn
During this session, you will learn how to:
- Stay calm and respond confidently in an emergency
- Carry out CPR and place someone safely in the recovery position
- Support someone who is choking or experiencing breathing difficulties
- Recognise the signs of shock and heart attacks and take appropriate action
- Control bleeding and provide first aid for burns and scalds
